This Windows tutorial demonstrates how to connect a laptop with an Intel graphics card to a TV using the VGA port output in the laptop and a VGA cable.
After connecting the VGA cable to the laptop the setting should be changed to display the desktop on the second screen and screen resolution should be adjusted to use maximum real estate of the TV as shown in the video. Now you can use Windows Media Center or work on you large TV screen.
